In this first post, I want to take you through the steps that led me to where I am today, from experimenting with AI tools to creating digital art, venturing into self-publishing, and exploring various avenues of generating income online.
The Desire for Clientless Income
From the beginning, I knew that I wanted to work online and generate income for myself, but I didn’t want to do it in the traditional sense of trading time for money. I was determined to find a way to build a clientless business—one where I didn’t have to work for someone else or be dependent on clients to earn a living. I wanted to put in the time and effort, but I wanted the rewards to be entirely my own. This desire led me to explore different methods of generating passive to semi-passive income and writing for my own websites and blogs seemed like a perfect fit.
One of the first strategies I considered was using affiliate links on my own blogs and websites. The idea of creating content that could continue to generate income over time, without the need for constant client interaction, was incredibly appealing. This part of my journey taught me a lot about digital marketing, content creation, and the potential for online income—skills that would become crucial as I continued to evolve my hobby into a business.
The Role of AI in My Creative and Entrepreneurial Journey
As I explored various online income opportunities, I discovered the immense power of AI tools like ChatGPT and DALL-E. What started as simple experimentation—fascinated by how these tools could enhance creativity and streamline content creation—quickly grew into something more significant. It didn’t take long for me to realize that AI could be a vital component of a successful business, not just a hobby.
I began using AI to write content for my art descriptions and develop stories around my artwork. AI also became an essential tool for crafting social media posts, allowing me to communicate more effectively with my audience. As I continued to explore the potential of AI, I came across a company that was helping people self-publish online. I immediately recognized that AI could play a significant role in this process as well.
The idea of using AI to help write books, with text-to-speech software to create audiobooks and publish them online, became my next big venture. This project is still in its early stages, but I’m excited about the potential it holds for generating passive income through platforms like KDP and Audible.
Venturing into AI Art and Monetization on DeviantArt
Between exploring website writing and book publishing, I stumbled upon another exciting opportunity: AI art. I started creating digital art using AI tools and shared my creations on DeviantArt. To my surprise and delight, this was where I made my first money online. Monetizing my AI art on DeviantArt opened my eyes to yet another avenue of income, and it was incredibly rewarding to see my creative work valued by others.
This experience reinforced my belief that AI can be a powerful tool for both creativity and income generation. It also marked the beginning of my journey as an AI-driven artist and entrepreneur, a path that continues to evolve as I explore new ways to blend technology with creativity.
